Introducing the Doxa Sub 200 C-Graph II
Doxa has always competed right along side some of the “big guys” in the dive space. Ever since the 60’s and diving became more accessible to the middle class, there’s been an almost race to provide the most utility in a mechanical dive watch. With technological advancements in the diving space, and mostly digital and electronic equipment, there are still many divers who prefer something mechanical on their wrist. Doxa has created the Sub 200 C-Graph in 2020. For what it was, it was a nice diving chronograph aimed at the often difficult time-management skills required around cave diving. It was fine, but measuring in at 45mm, it was a behemoth on the wrist. For 2023, Doxa has unveiled 6 new colors to it’s collection with the Doxa Sub 200 C-Graph II - A smaller dive chronograph with some spink.

THE JUICE:
The reality is that Doxa is a powerhouse when it comes to swiss dive watches. The Doxa 300 is arguably one of the most recognized dive watches (Outside of Rolex and Omega of course) with it’s electric Orange dial and it’s cusion case. The brand, however has been making strides - Especially in the last few years with the more modest collector looking for something more casual that they can still not worry about in extreme elements - Whether they’re actually in them or not.
While the romanticization of Cave Diving, and tools built around the extremely nerve-wracking sport, the Sub 200 C-Graph II is going to spend a lot more time sitting at desks than being sunk to the bottom of a cave - Though, it could. And for that, the 6 color options that Doxa provide in the new collection with smaller case size fit the bill. It comes in a blue, a black, an orange, a turquoise, a yellow, and a white. All with a first-for-the-brand sunray dial. Each watch comes with either a Stainless Steel bezel insert or a Ceramic insert for $100 more - Which, is fine I suppose, if not a little added confusion.
Overall, this is going to be a solid release for Doxa. There has been a lot of demand for their Sub 200 C-Graph in a smaller and more manageable case size. While this might not be the model that really sees the depths of the sea, it’ll be popular nonetheless - And all the dive watch utility is still there, just in a smaller package. The extra color options are very uniquely Doxa, so the DNA of the brand is left mostly untouched here. The Doxa Sub 200 C-Graph II gets the Wrist Enthusiast stamp of approval, and we’re excited to see what else Doxa produces for Watches and Wonders. Price for the Doxa Sub 200 C-Graph II is $2,850 USD on rubber, but there is a $40 upcharge for the bracelet, and a $100 upcharge for ceramic.
